Melody Ehsani, an LA-based, women driven streetwear brand, is seeking a content creator to help elevate our brand. Our core beliefs at Melody Ehsani are rooted in unity, equality, and justice through the lens of product and fashion. We are inspired by the unapologetic, informed, counter culture that always questions the status quo. As content creator, you will be the champion of our brand, values, voice, and visual guidelines across the company.
This hands-on, hybrid role is focused primarily on visual and written content creation with a strong emphasis on styling and delivering storytelling at scale. This role requires experience in managing creative projects from start to finish in a time sensitive manner - from planning and storyboarding ideas through to creating the content e.g. filming & editing events, pulling and curating product, styling on set, helping with the design of marketing material and copywriting content for social media and for marketing materials and digital campaigns.
The ideal candidate has an understanding of the Melody Ehsani brand, a connection to our aesthetic and to streetwear culture as a whole and the ability to share it with others. A rich knowledge and interest in fashion, music, film, art and social justice is a must.
WE WILL COUNT ON YOU TO
- Work with Founder and Chief Operating Officer to develop and codify brand guidelines and collaborate with other team members to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and visual identity across all platforms
- Oversee the creative development process for consumer-facing communication (website, social, email, photo/video, advertising, packaging, etc.) including:
+ Plan and lead all photo shoots
+ Manage creation of all design assets
+ Manage look & feel of website
+ Monitor tone of voice across all channels
+ Develop compelling and on the pulse copy that captures our audience's attention
- Garner internal feedback on an ongoing basis, including from other co-founders
- Cleverly source and oversee outside resources including models and a network of individual creatives as needed across the company
- Develop a creative strategy for all product launches and campaigns, and oversee implementation
- Stay up to date on industry trends that may inspire new ideas that push the Melody Ehsani brand forward
- Spontaneous and creative out of the box thinking, utilizing every opportunity to capture the essence of the brand via photo/ video content.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Multiple years of related experience
- Experience developing creative for at least 3 of the following areas:
+ Organic social
+ Paid social
+ Out of home
+ Experiential
+ Web design
+ DTC or other e-commerce
+ Retail
- Incredible taste, with equal comfort in photo, video, design, and writing
- Comfortable shifting and ideating across many channels, with an knack for conceptualizing the big picture of how consumers encounter Melody Ehsani in their lives
- Uncanny ability to put yourself in the shoes of many different kinds of consumers — across political ideologies, geographies, and other demographics
- Proven track record of taking ownership, creative problem solving, and driving results
- Ability to lead and manage multiple workstreams and projects
- Positive can-do attitude in fast-paced and dynamic environments
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Data-driven and adept at analyzing quantitative data and qualitative data in decision making
- Attention to detail and relentless pursuit of creative excellence
- Skilled and interested in community building/ relationship fostering through our social media outlets.
- A team player, open to constructive criticism in a safe creative environment
